Flaming Lassie

We consult in four main areas based on our skillsets and experience. These are Film, Cinema, Online and Arts & Culture. In 2015/16 our clients included Warner Music, The Space (BBC ACE publicly funded organisation), The Octagon Theatre, and Suede. We programme film, event cinema and cultural events into venues and festivals. We are members of Film Hub South West. Clients include Westlands (new arts & entertainment venue opening March 2017), and partner WhereWestBegins. We produce and exec produce music and cultural films primarily. The work is primarily factual and based in the event cinema industry. We have produced for Joaquin Cortes, Channel 4, and the UK Film Council. Flaming Lassie is the creation of Penny Nagle, a pioneer in the Event Cinema industry screening her first live to cinema events in 2002, including Led Zeppelin and Robbie Williams (the first live High Definition rock broadcast to Europe). She co-founded More2Screen in 2006 and was Creative Director up until 2016. More2Screen distributes Event Cinema worldwide to 5000 screens across 60 territories. It is in its fifth year of partnership with The Royal Opera House, and regularly works with The British Museum, as well as having distributed everyone from Adele, to The Rolling Stones into cinemas, and just won European Distributor of the Year at the ECA Awards 2015. Through her experience she has a unique view of Event Cinema and how it is changing local cinemas into world-class arts centres. Penny consults to a range of film, music and media companies through Flaming Lassie Ltd. Recent clients include BBC1 presenter Lucy Cooke, Warner Music, Suede, Westlands, and the Octagon Theatre. In the past two years Penny has been a judge at the British Video Awards, as well as speaker at the Event Cinema Association, for the Film Distributors Association, Film Cymru, The Scottish Documentary Institute, Film London, Birds Eye View Festival, The Edinburgh Film Festival, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Clore Leadership Programme, and Google HQ ...
