However, most small business owners don't have the time or the experience to effectively promote their companies. They also don't have a large enough budget to justify hiring a full-time marketing staff or to work with a traditional advertising agency. Flywheel Marketing is positioned specifically to serve these types of businesses. How is Flywheel Marketing different from a traditional agency? Flywheel Marketing is me (Denny) plus my network of independent designers and programmers. We're entrepreneurs, just like our clients, who enjoy the personal and professional freedom of being our own bosses. We also enjoy the opportunity to work directly with business owners and to share their passion with their present and future customers. What is the significance of the name "Flywheel Marketing"? One of the core concepts in Jim Collins' book Good to Great is what he calls the "flywheel principle". In a nutshell, the flywheel principle means that a company becomes great through persistent small efforts. The first ones are hard (imagine getting a heavy flywheel started), but gradually they become easier and easier as the flywheel builds momentum.
