Freshney Place Shopping Centre

"Freshney Place is really pleased to be supporting the YMCA and Harbour Place and be actively involved in helping the local community. This has to be one of the most worthwhile causes we have supported so far this year. It is sad that homelessness is a problem in Grimsby and across the UK every year, and anything we can do to support getting children at risk into hostels and warm accommodation is very worthwhile." Malcolm Smith, Acting Chief Executive Officer for Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Humber Region YMCA said: "Sleep Easy is a great opportunity to make a difference and at the same time experience something of the challenges that those in poverty face. Becoming homeless could happen to anyone. We are particularly grateful to Amanda and Freshney Place who are providing food and cardboard for us all to sleep on. We are looking forward to another successful event to raise awareness of rough sleeping and poverty, whilst raising money for our partners who support young people and families at risk of homelessness across North East Lincolnshire." Added Neil Grice, Operations Manager at Freshney Place: "Both Matt and I are thrilled to be involved in such a great local initiative as Sleep Easy to raise funds for disadvantaged, vulnerable and homeless young people in the area."
