Fundación Oswaldo Loor

Dr. Oswaldo Loor Moreira Foundation is a private non-profit organization that, since 1992, runs an Eye Health Care Program providing better living conditions to those individuals whom, due to their lack of vision, partial or total, cannot function in the community to which they belong. The Foundation is based at the Medical Center located in Av. Uruguay and Padre Solano in the city of Portoviejo, province of Manabi; the population of Manabi resides mostly in rural or marginal urban areas and the majority of the people have a rather limited economic condition. To address the complex world of blindness, from prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation to the employment of visually impaired people, Dr. Oswaldo Loor Moreira Foundation counts on 15 active board members, plus 60 committed and caring staff members who are all passionate about their work. The Foundation is organized into five working teams that work every day to achieve the proposed goals.
