Futurepump

Futurepump Ltd is a startup company which is commercialising an exciting new solar-powered water pump. This low cost device has been designed to offer small farmers in East Africa (and beyond) a renewable way of irrigating their crops. Our initial focus is Kenya, but our ambitions are global. Ideally we are after someone with: ability to build a buzz on Twitter/Facebook working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator some experience of HTML search engine optimisation experience interest in renewable energy and developing countries lots of get up and go excellent communication and writing skills fluency in written and spoken English a readiness to muck in on various other tasks Experience in renewables or international development isn't a necessity... but enthusiasm is! For the right candidate there's an opportunity to get involved in other aspects of our work as well. Our office is in the pretty market town of Halesworth, Suffolk. The catch is that sadly we can't offer any real money - just infinite cups of tea and weekly travel and lunch expenses. On the plus side, you get to work in an informal, friendly office environment, and gain experience in what we think is a pretty cutting-edge and exciting field. This is a three-month internship. We want to be sure that a spell with us is genuinely valuable to you, so we will only take on people who have an organised internship as part of their structured development programme or educational course. If you're interested, write an email to Toby Hammond, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to tell us why you'd be great, and attach your CV.
