The Food and Veterinary Agency

The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) of Kosovo develops and implements the Government’s policy in food safety and quality as well as in animal health and welfare sectors. The FVA is accountable to the Government of Kosovo. The FVA as an inspection body is delegated by the Government of Kosovo to carry out inspections in the field of safety, hygiene, traceability and labeling of food and feeding stuffs in the areas of processing, packaging, distribution, wholesale and retail according to the harmonized EU and national legislation.
