Ganong Bros

Ganong Bros. Limited is Canada's oldest candy company; founded in 1873. Ganong's largest sales volume is from boxed chocolates. Ganong Bros. has offices in St. Stephen, Moncton and Toronto. Ganong currently exports to USA and United Kingdom. Head office and manufacturing facilities are located in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada Ganong employs approximately 400 people. Four Generations of Ganong ganong-bros James Ganong (left) Gilbert W. Ganong (right) In 1873 James Harvey (B 1841 - D 1888) and Gilbert White Ganong (B 1851 - D 1917) founded Ganong Bros. Limited in St. Stephen, NB. In 1884 the partnership was dissolved. James expanded into a successful soap production and Gilbert maintained the candy company known as Ganong Brothers.
