GATEWIT Ltda

Gatewit initially called Construlink, founded in 1999, was the outcome of a funding plan prepared by the Department of Civil Engineering of the Technical University. The plan was accepted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education which aims to promote the continuous advancement of scientific knowledge and technological development in Portugal. The company has positioned itself in the IT market as a high-performance E-business services provider. Gatewit was the 1st company in Portugal to develop an advanced Information Platform targeted at Construction, Architecture and Engineering sectors. Throughout its course, it has developed several platforms to support electronic procurement for the central and local government. It was the first Portuguese company to publicly present (at the end of the year 2005) an electronic platform that allowed the purchase of goods in accordance with the legislation in force. In 2010, the electronic platform of Gatewit represented more than half of the procurement processes in Portugal, according to the Synthesis Report of Public Procurement. Gatewit has vast experience in Business to Business Solutions, Enterprise Management Solutions (ERP, CRM, Collaborative Portals, Document Management and Workflow), IT Outsourcing Services and IT Infrastructure.
