Geological Resources

Geological Resources, Inc. was founded in 1971 by Dr. Henry S. Brown, P.G., professor of Geology at North Carolina State University. Over the years, the Company has provided geological consulting services applicable to mining and mineral exploration, environmental problems in complex geologic settings and critical foundation studies for large engineering projects. These services have been performed for local, state and federal governmental agencies, financial institutions, mining and industrial concerns, private individuals, and foreign governments. Geological Resources, Inc. expanded its capabilities to include engineering services in 2005. These services are complementary to the core geological services and include civil, environmental and geotechnical engineering. These engineering services enable the Company to provide a comprehensive package of services tailored around the core business: understanding the geological conditions of a project and developing a plan to assist the client achieve their goals within the limitations those conditions impose thereon. The Company is currently managed by John M. Brown, P.G., Terry D. Kennedy, P.G. and Rohit Shetty, P.E. The staff includes licensed geologists, professional engineers, environmental and wetlands scientists, and various personnel providing critical field and support services. The Company maintains offices in Charlotte and Greenville, North Carolina and provides consulting services primarily in the mid-Atlantic and Appalachia regions.
