GeoSpatiumLab

GeoSLab is a tech company specialized in digital processing of geospatial and georeferenced information and their application areas. GeoSLab was created in January 2.007 with the objective of transferring the technology developed by the Advanced Information Systems R&D Group of the University of Zaragoza in a more than 10 years career. Our mission is to generate value for our customers, rendering advanced software services for spatial information management. GeoSLab is made up of a high qualified team composed by university graduates with a specialized training and a proven experience. Our project approach is based on the design of multidisciplinary teams composed by our own staff and, if required by the project scope, by other external experts coming from our allies network. The main technological environments in which we work are: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Location based services Web applications and services Mobile device applications These technologies are incorporated in projects developed by GeoSLab to offer solutions in different areas: Environment Tourism Spatial Data Infrastructures Urban and Land planning GeoSLab designs its products following Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) paradigm, promoted by INSPIRE European Framework Directive that is generally accepted in the scope of geographic-based information management because it offers intuitive and simple mechanisms for users to access information in the proper context and at a lower cost than other technologies. GeoSLab developments have not any special requirements regarding to the operating system and are not dependent from any other proprietary software, which means that there are no additional licensing charges. In addition to that, they can work on their own or together with other software applications creating more potent and integrated systems, which implies more flexibility to adapt to different types of projects.
