GVC has been providing medical care to patients in the Safford area for over 30 years. Our providers and staff are committed to providing quality full spectrum medical care to our patients. A few years ago, it became obvious that we needed to upgrade our medical facility. The next year was spent reviewing our options and the final outcome was to build a new facility that would be larger and more efficient. In June of 2011, that vision became a reality as we moved into our new home and began seeing patients in our new facility. Our provider staff consists of nine providers. Susan J. Jones, MD, Catherine H. Romero, MD, Gail Guerrero-Tucker, MD and Melinda Valichnac, MD all specialize in family practice as well as providing complete OB care and are board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Richard Keith, MD, our Pediatrician specializes in pediatrics and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Completing our medical staff, we have one Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Kacey Ekman, PNP, one Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in family practice and two Physicians Assistants: Dustin Burbank PA-C and Michael Evans, PA-C. Our clinic provides continuing, comprehensive health care for people of all ages and backgrounds from birth through their adult lives, men and women. Our providers are able to diagnose and treat more than 85% of the average person's medical problems and are trained to recognize the cases that require referral to other specialists. In addition, we also provide complete obstetrical care through delivery with our pediatrician following the baby after birth. Gila Valley Clinic has always prided itself with being on the cutting edge of technology. In 2004, we transitioned our patient charts into electronic medical records - computerized patient charts. Electronic medical records makes the patient's chart available at all times, in the exam room, or in the hospital. This allows our providers to have your complete medical record at their fingertips quickly and more efficiently.
