Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute

Gloucester Biotechnology Academy is the educational entity within GMGI (Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute) that trains young adults to become entry-level lab technicians in the growing field of biotechnology. An innovative, hands-on curriculum, paired with career skills training and a three-month paid-internship at a Boston or North Shore biotech company, students graduate from the nine-month program prepared to enter the biotech field as professional lab technicians. Having operated out of Gloucester's Blackburn Industrial Park since 2016, the Academy is set to graduate its 4th class, and is actively accepting students for the Class of 2021.
