Speaking at a brief ceremony, Zonal Manager of South-Western Zone of GN Bank, Mr. Robert Mensah, urged the people of Western region to do business with the bank. He expressed his personal appreciation as well as that of the bank to Thank You Ghana Awards for the award. He said although the name of the bank which used to be First National Savings and Loans Limited has changed, its slogan still remained the same as the "People's Bank." He disclosed that currently GN Bank has over 150 branches dotted around the 10 regions of the country serving valued customers. He added that "The bank is also here to ensure that there will be cordial relationship with customers who save with us." He took the opportunity to introduce some of the products of the bank including 'Wo Daakye' account which he explained, would be useful for parents in future hence the name which literally means "your future." Mr. Mensah also explained the process involved in opening an account with GN Bank and disclosed that a customer stands to gain an insurance cover of GHS1, 000 as well as 9% interest on all savings accounts. Human Resource Manager of Groupe Nduom, Mr. Peter Massodong, encouraged customers to support and continue doing business with the group since the entity has better things for them. He said Groupe Nduom is a family business group of Ghanaian and American origin and will see to it that their customers are always happy. World Thank You Day is marked every year on the 11th January worldwide. Global Trade Network International (GTNI) observes the day as Ghana Thank You by identifying individuals, organisations' efforts and appreciates their contributions by awarding them accordingly and task them to support a national project. The award is the fourth (4th) edition to be observed in Ghana. This year's event in Takoradi highlighted some salient features of the personality profile of the awardees.
