We are committed to providing a well-balanced and challenging curriculum for all students, with 29 A Levels available from September 2016. We have recently expanded our curriulum offer to include a new A Level in Film Studies. 2016 signals further significant change for A Levels and by 2017 all current A Level specifications will have been reviewed and updated. A Levels are moving gradually from modular qualifications (exams in both years of the course) to linear qualifications (all examinations at the end of the two-year programme of study). In response to the changes to A Levels, we have adjusted our entry criteria to reflect the increased challenge of linear programmes. Even with these changes, we remain one of the most open access sixth-form colleges in the country, with an outstanding record of high pass rates, many high grades and 'value added'. Students make exceptional progress during their time with us and this places us in the top 10% nationally for our value added achievements. As a prospective student you may have questions about how changes to A Levels will affect you, which we will be happy to answer. It is always a good idea to keep an eye on our website for any updates. However, the best option is to attend one of our Open Events, where you will be able to speak to current students, discuss your choices with subject teachers and have a good look at what we can offer.
