The Green Vale School

Greenvale School has provided affordable childcare to the Roanoke Valley since 1934. The majority of people served by Greenvale School are low income working families who need affordable childcare in order to work or attend school full-time. In 2010, 95% of our families received financial assistance to cover the cost of their children's care. Greenvale School helps families who are already helping themselves, and together we work toward two goals: building stability and financial independence for parents; and providing a stimulating, nurturing environment for children that will prepare them to succeed in school. Greenvale School's mission is to provide affordable, accessible, top-quality, developmentally appropriate childcare and educational services for children of working parents, according to each family's ability to pay. By promoting the highest standards of education and responsible behavior, Greenvale School's program cultivates the growth of each child to his or her full potential. By providing a comprehensive range of services, Greenvale School supports parents' efforts to build a secure and prosperous future for their families.
