Growing Stars Nursery

Growing Stars nursery provides an exciting and stimulating environment for toddler and pre-school children aged two to five years old to learn and develop through play. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm during term time. We offer morning and afternoon sessions, full days or a full week. Our team of qualified nursery nurses are there to ensure every child that spends time at Growing Stars experiences adult-led and child-led activities, in line with the EYFS, and is well-prepared to face the future with enthusiasm and confidence. In order to achieve the best development for each individual Growing Stars nursery offers a tailored educational environment, focusing on each child's stage of development. In our toddler room our boys and girls can chose from a range of activities to enjoy, organised by our dedicated team, with a staff/child ratio of 1:4. Our dedicated pre-school room offers a more structured learning environment, preparing our children for their eventual move to school, with a staff/child ratio of 1:8. All of our activities in each room are focused on the child's learning needs, using age suitable stimulation resources. Our weekly planning ensures that each child has equal opportunity to experience activities linked to the EYFS' seven areas of learning and development - the three prime areas of which are: Personal Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development and Communication and Language. These are followed by a further four specific areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Art and Design. Our timetables offer a balance of adult chosen planning, to help meet the next steps of each individual child, with child-led activities, ensuring our children have the opportunity to follow their current interests. Parents will have the opportunity to meet regularly with their child's key worker to discuss their individual requirements and review their progress.
