SOLVERDE

Solverde - Sociedade de Investimentos Turísticos da Costa Verde S.A. - was founded in 1972 by Manuel de Oliveira Violas. Throughout more than 40 years of activity, the Group has focused on the tourism area, having twice been awarded the 'Gold Tourism Merit Medal' by the Portuguese government. Moreover, it has contributed dynamically to the development of sport, social, cultural and artistic activity of the regions where it operates. The focus on culture and entertainment has been one of Solverde's most significant assets, a fact which makes its units a true stage for major national and international events and shows. Solverde holds the gambling licence of the Casino Espinho, inaugurated in 1974, the three casinos in the Algarve - Vilamoura, Monte Gordo and Praia da Rocha, in operation since 1996 and the Hotel Casino Chaves, which opened in 2008. In the hotel industry, the group led by Manuel and Celeste Violas owns the Hotel Apartmento Solverde in Espinho, Hotel Solverde Spa & Wellness Center, in Granja beach, the only five-star hotel in Greater Porto facing the sea and the Hotel Casino Chaves, a four-star hotel. In the Algarve, the company is present with the five-star resort Hotel Algarve Casino, the first casino-hotel in the country, located right in front of Praia da Rocha.
