About Goulburn Valley Health GV Health is a leader in healthcare delivery in the Hume Region. Located in the north east of country Victoria, GV Health is only two hours from Melbourne and less than an hour from the Murray River. Our main sites are at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth, with additional services at Seymour, Benalla and Wodonga. The Shepparton Campus is the major acute referral hospital for the sub-region and has 280 beds - providing acute medical, surgical, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatric, rehabilitation, intensive/coronary care, emergency care, mental health and geriatric care. GV Health is currently undertaking a $229 million redevelopment at our main campus in Shepparton. The role The Director of Nursing/ Manager Tatura Hospital & Parkvilla Aged Care is responsible for the management of Acute, Aged Care, Hotel Services and Administration services at the Tatura campus. The GV Health Tatura campus consists of Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla Aged Care Facility. The Hospital comprises of eight beds and provides acute hospital and palliative care services with a dedicated palliative care suite within the hospital. Parkvilla Aged Care is a residential aged care home for 13 permanent residents and two transitional care clients. The Director of Nursing/ Manager Tatura Hospital & Parkvilla Aged Care will provide efficient and effective management of the portfolio, ensuring clinical and strategic leadership, risk minimisation and continual performance monitoring and quality improvement in delivering quality and safe patient care. The role is responsible for supporting implementation of GV Health clinical governance framework in the quality and safety domains in clinical effectiveness, risk management, effective workforce and consumer participation ensuring optimal outcomes for patients, residents and their carers. This position amongst others is responsible for promoting GV Health as a quality regional health service provider.
