Hacknoid

Hacknoid was the first brick-breaking game to be played in true 3D. Inspired by the earlier games "Arkanoid" and "Breakout", Hacknoid takes the familiar playing field, with a user-controlled paddle at the bottom and bricks placed in rows above it, and extends it to use 3D. What makes Hacknoid truly unique is that the player views the playing field in 3D. Bricks are placed not only just in rows, but also in levels that extend back into the playfield. The paddle can be moved left and right, as well as back and forth. Version 1.1 added access to the new online Global High Score List, where registered players can upload their high scores to web-based list that is visible to anyone with an Internet connection. The full version of Hacknoid contains all bonuses and 50 different levels (playfields). Hacknoid is shareware, and the registered version costs US$15.00. It is available for purchase (by credit card only) from the Hacknoid web site (www.hacknoid.com), or by using the internal eSellerate registration option.
