Halal Quality Control

Halal Quality Control

The "Halal Quality Control" is an agency specialized in the overseeing, auditing and certifying of Halal food products and productions.Founded in 1980 in The Hague, The Netherlands as Control Office of Halal Slaughtering (COHS), the original activities of this office were mainly directed towards halal slaughtering methods. Around 1996 it became evident that the Moslem communities in Europe and worldwide wanted more than just halal assurance on meat products.Food and nutrition producers were more and more confronted with the desire and demand for the halal certification of food and nutrition products. ince food and nutrition monitoring and certification demanded specific expertise, the Halal Quality Control (HQC), was then founded (by Mr. A.M. Al Chaman) as a separate department from COHS. The HQC office is strongly supported by laboratory experts responsible for biochemistry/ biotechnology assessment. s a result the first Certificate was issued by HQC in the year of 1997. HQC and COHS have ever since proven to be a reliable and trustworthy agency. his has been achieved by sticking to the highest international, accepted standards regarding Halal production. Also by collecting and properly using knowledge about this subject we have gained an internationally respected status. he documents of HQC are internationally recognized by companies and halal agencies, in countries all over the world.
