Hallmark Youthcare
Hallmark Youthcare was founded in 1976. Originally called Psychiatric Institute of Richmond, located in the Highland Park area of Richmond, it was a Treatment Center/Special Education Program serving children, adolescents, and adult patients. In 1992, the residential program expanded to 50 beds and moved to its current setting in Goochland County, Virginia. Purchased by Hallmark Systems in April 1995, Hallmark Youthcare expanded to 84 beds and focused solely on adolescent residential treatment and assessment and diagnostic services. In 2008, Hallmark Youthcare added its Community Based Programs for at-risk youth and their families.
