Hamburg Media School

Since 2003, the Hamburg Media School has been educating students at a high level to become media managers, journalists and filmmakers. In addition to the three Master's programmes, the HMS offers the Bachelor's programme "Digital Media" in cooperation with Leuphana University Lüneburg as well as an extensive further education programme - especially in online marketing. The sponsor of the HMS is a public-private partnership - consisting of the foundation with numerous renowned publishing houses, broadcasters and media companies, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the University of Hamburg and the University of Fine Arts. Important aspects of the HMS are the academic nature of the programme with a simultaneous practical component and the internationality of the training. A top-class team of lecturers from academia and practice prepares the students excellently and comprehensively for the challenges of an increasingly global industry.
