Happy Hills Homestead

Established in January 2015 Happy Hills Homestead is located in Central Minnesota near beautiful Lake Mille Lacs. 35 Acres of fields, woods and wetlands provide a variety of opportunities for different types of agriculture and livestock. We moved to the property from a suburb of Minneapolis and still commute to the twin cities for work until we can build a sustainable income from our property. Our goal is to become self sufficient or generate enough income to work for ourselves but likely will be a combination of both. We are venturing into a wide variety of small and medium size livestock, produce gardens and other income generating projects. Taking each new venture slow and trying to master it on a small scale before deciding what works best for us and our property. We have a page dedicated to each of the types of animals we are raising, a listing of projects we have completed, some how-to posts, and reviews of products and services we have purchased or used. We also will be keeping a homestead journal where you can keep up to date on what we are working on, our successes and failures, and plans for our future.
