Harraseeket Inn

We offer true Maine hospitality as only a Maine family-owned business can. Stop in for a meal, an overnight, or come for tea and look us over. The Harraseeket Inn gets its name from the Harraseeket River in Freeport. Its name derives from an American Indian dialect meaning the "River of Many Fish" - what better location for L.L. Bean to establish his world-famous hunting, fishing, and sporting business? We invite you to enjoy all of the many beautiful areas that Maine has to offer. We look forward to seeing you during vacations, holidays, business trips, and weekend getaways! The Harraseeket Inn is a luxury country Inn located two blocks north of L.L. Bean in the village of Freeport, Maine. Filled with antiques, 23 fireplaces, jacuzzis, and an indoor pool, our 84 rooms plus extended stay townhouses include all the amenities any discriminating traveler would expect. We offer two award-winning restaurants: The Maine Dining Room and the Broad Arrow Tavern set against a backdrop of lovely grounds and gardens. We are steps away from over 170 of your favorite factory outlet stores (see our Serious Shopper Vacation) and close to many of Maine's major attractions. Many people use us as a base; traveling to the lakes, mountains, museums, Bowdoin, Bates and Colby Colleges, Boothbay, Camden or Bar Harbor.
