Harsha Behavioral Center

Harsha Behavioral Center

Harsha Behavioral Center is a freestanding acute care hospital established in August 2008. We have 44 beds for providing inpatient services to individuals needing 24-hour intensive psychiatric care. We serve children ages 3-12, adolescents age 13-17 and geriatrics age 55 and older and have an average length of stay ranging from 7-14 days. In the first three years of business we have served nearly 3,000 patients and have created over 100 jobs in the Wabash Valley. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and are contributing to the economic well being of Vigo County in a small way. Each age group is separated by their own individual units. Our goal is to evaluate and stabilize the patient in a protective and nurturing environment so that effective treatment can continue on an outpatient basis in a less restrictive environment. Dr. Harshawat also provides care in facilities where he has no ownership interest.
