[Hatena](http://www.hatena.ne.jp) is a Japanese web services company with offices in Kyoto and Tokyo. The site of the same name is especially popular among Japan's heavy web users. [Hatena USA](http://hatena.com/) was established in Los Altos, California, in 2007. In Japan, Hatena operates a number of different services, including Hatena Bookmark (Japan's biggest social bookmarking service), Hatena Blog (a blogging platform) and Hatena Question (a Q&A service). The Visiting users are around 200 Million in a month. Hatena also provides a SaaS IT-infra monitoring service, Mackerel (https://mackerel.io/).
