Haygain
Research on reducing equine respiratory risks at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, England, was the catalyst for Haygain's formation in 2009. That led to the development of high-temperature hay steaming, which drastically reduces the dust, mold, bacteria and fungi found in even top-quality hays around the world. Those breathable irritants are largely responsible for the respiratory problems that affect over 80% of active sporthorses, often without obvious symptoms. Haygain purchased ComfortStall Orthopedic Sealed Flooring in 2017 as an ideal complement to its three Hay Steaming models. This three-layered system includes a durable top cover sealed to the stall walls and a middle layer of proprietary orthopedic foam. Benefits include significantly reduced bedding and labor costs, increased comfort and joint support and better rest and sleep.
