Hebden Bridge Group Practice

Hebden Bridge Group Practice is a modern general practice serving a population of 19,000 patients over 60 square miles. We are based over 3 sites and employ 11 GPs, nurse practitioners, nurses, health care assistants, up to 4 doctors in training, and numerous admin staff and Patients Services Advisors. Each week we process approximately 3000 telephone calls, 670 routine consultations, 130 consultations by the Duty Doctor, and 200 test samples. We are constantly looking at ways to improve your experience of general practice by, for example, improving telephone access. Many telephone calls are generated by patients enquiring about their test results. We recognize the anxiety that waiting for the results of tests causes patients. In addressing this, we have overhauled the way the practice handles test results, whilst still ensuring the systems are robust, safe and helpful. Please note the following regarding your tests: ? Blood test results take 2 days or longer to come back. ? Please inform the Practice if you will be on holiday within two weeks of your test. ? Please DO NOT ring the surgery for your results.
