Heli Niugini

Heli Niugini Limited commenced operations in the early 1980s when the then parent company Heli Bougainville had one helicopter and operated in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. In the mid 1980s Heli Niugini was formed and relocated to Madang to capitalise on the increased opportunities as a result of the resource boom. In 2007 a consortium of shareholders acquired a majority share in HNL The new shareholders brought extensive operational experience to HNL. The shareholders also brought with them significant global experience in helicopter and fixed wing aircraft operations. With the new HNL Board at the time, the company upgraded and further expanded its fleet through an extensive growth program to maintain its competitive edge. In the last five years the company has been involved with some of the largest oil & gas companies in the world with their exploration programs in Papua New Guinea. The current list of clients include Total E&P and Repsol amongst other internationally recognised operators. In recognition of its commitment to safety in aviation, HNL was awarded "Most improved contractor safety performance" by Repsol in 2015. he Board, Management and Staff are committed to providing a safe, reliable and professional service in a timely and cost effective manner.
