Hellenic Fabrics was established in 1974, with headquarters in Thessaloniki. The company has been listed in the Athens Stock Exchange since 1994 while its main activity has been the production of indigo denim fabrics for blue jeans. Hellenic Fabrics is today among the leading denim manufacturers in Europe and the only one in Greece. The company is the only vertically integrated denim manufacturer in the Euro-Med zone producing cotton, yarn and fabrics and enjoying long-term collaboration with the majority of the premium brands in the global denim market. The Company's vertical structure, its modern mechanical equipment, the high level of specialization, the know-how and the 35-years experience in denim fabric manufacturing, contribute to the production of fabrics with high standards and excellent quality. More than 90% of total sales turnover comes from exports, mainly from sales to globally well-known jeans manufacturers. The denim mill of Hellenic Fabrics is situated in Pella, Northern Greece and has an annual production capacity of 15mil meters of denim fabrics. Hellenic Fabrics SA participates also in the following subsidiaries: Kilkis Spinning Mills SA in Northern Greece (100% subsidiary). This spinning mill produces annually 10,000 tons of cotton, open-end, carded combed and compact, slub, two-fold, multi-count and organic cotton yarns. Thessaly Cotton Ginning Mills SA in Central Greece (52.07% subsidiary). This cotton-ginning mill is amongst the most modern worldwide and has a processing annual capacity up to 40,000 tons of seed cotton. Hellenic Energy SA in Thessaloniki (95% subsidiary). The company's aim is the production and selling of electric energy from renewable energy sources (solar, wind, geothermal, biomass) as well as the production and selling of solar and thermal power from facilities co-producing heat-electricity. Blu Cotoni Srl , in Tunisia (95% subsidiary). The company's aim is the broadening of the partnership between Hellenic Fabrics and Benetton Group and its main objective is the supply of fabrics for the needs of Benetton Group's plants in Tunisia.
