Founded in 2010, Hepburn and Sons LLC is a Veteran Owned Small Business focused on providing maritime engineering consulting in the areas of technology transition and technical advisory services. Rick Hepburn, Owner and President, is a retired Navy Captain with a Professional Engineering (PE) license who has served as the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Bath Maine and the Chief Naval Architect of the Navy. Upon retiring from the Navy and working in Industry, Rick had a vision to start a company with his family to continue his passion for serving his country and fellow Military service members with technical consultation. Many of Hepburn and Sons employees have served the country in uniform or as Government civilians. The company is consistently growing with talented technical experts in engineering, naval architecture, warfare and combat systems, material science, and cybersecurity. Our expertise goes well beyond engineering and includes business development, life cycle cost estimating, bid and proposal preparation, capture, marketing, and program management.
