Hijo is in the business of growing, processing, and distributing high quality Cavendish bananas and other Davao-grown fruits. To meet increasing global demands, Hijo recently expanded the growth area for bananas as its plantation. Hijo also deals with smaller retailers who want the freshest product straight from the source. To take advantage of the increase in shipment to and from Davao, Hijo invested in a change designed to bring the company to the top of the industry. Now partnered with the International Container Terminal Services (ICTS), HCS is on track to complete the renovation of the new Hijo Port by 2015. In a bid to make the most of the laid back charm of Davao del Norte, Hijo decided to delve into the Leisure and Tourism industry. With two resorts and various tour packages, it makes full use of the island's fair weather, its sprawling natural resources, and the calm blue water of the Davao Gulf.
