Hisar School
Hisar School was founded in 1996 by the Hisar Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization comprised of Robert College alumni committed to providing an exemplary academic education to the youth of Turkey starting at the pre-school level. Hisar's mission is to bring out the full potential of each student, while educating them to become moral and socially responsible global leaders of the future. Adding a subsequent grade each year, Hisar School graduated its first class of seniors in 2008. Currently, the school enrolls over 1200 students. Through a rich and rigorous college preparatory curriculum, Hisar School strives for the fullest intellectual development of each student. Hisar's academic programs seek to instill in each student a desire to learn, to challenge each student to fulfill his own unique potential, to foster critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills and to develop the creative and independent qualities of mind necessary for intellectual maturity. Hisar School is accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Education, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) as well as he Council of International Schools (CIS). Hisar School is a member of the Turkish Private School Association, ECIS, Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA), NACAC, OACAC, the College Board and the ERB Association.
