With Holon's electron beam control technology at the core, Holon has been serving society by providing electron beam application system products that incorporate the unique concepts of Holon. Established on May 1, 1985, Holon started as a company with seven staff including myself. The company name Holon is rooted in the Greek word holos (meaning "whole") with the suffix "on" attached to suggest a particle, such as an electron or a proton or fraction, a concept proposed by Arthur Koestler. According to Koestler, individuals, families, companies, and nations are simultaneously wholes as well as parts of the greater international community. Koestler calls the interconnection between whole and part "holon. Since the founding of the Company, we at Holon Co., Ltd. have been drawing on creative capabilities that have connected us with customers all over the world and enable us to offer products that will satisfy customers' needs and expectations. In so doing, we have been aiming to be the interconnection with the world, that is, the holon proposed by Koestler. In our times today, a company's fortunes can change within a short moment amid the torrid pace of global transformation with its rapid advances in technologies and fierce competition.
