Honor Flight Michigan
The purpose of Honor Flight Michigan was to fly Michigan's deserving WWII Veterans to Washington, DC to visit the memorial dedicated to honor their service and their sacrifices for our country. Through the efforts of our Board of Directors and countless other caring citizens, nearly 1,400 of Michigan's deserving World War II veterans experienced their Honor Flight. Now we have an opportunity to forever honor their legacy forever! As our flights to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., wound down, the all-volunteer board of Honor Flight Michigan felt we should and could do more to honor our Michigan World War II heroes. We need to leave a lasting tribute, a legacy, to the over 600,000 men and women from Michigan who heroically and selflessly served us, our nation and our great state nearly 70 years ago. What can YOU do to help? We are looking for individuals, families, companies and organizations who believe that Michigan should have a permanent monument as a testament to the selfless service of all the proud women and men who served our nation and the great state of Michigan in World War II. Honor Flight Michigan receives NO government or corporate funding. We operate on proceeds from our fundraising efforts and donations from caring people like you. Your support of our Honor Flight Michigan Legacy Project is deeply appreciated. Please help us give our veterans the recognition they deserve. Honor a World War II veteran who is a family member or friend by making a donation to the Honor Flight Michigan Legacy Project. You can make a Donation by clicking here.
