International Business School

International Business School was founded in 1991 as an independent, politically nonaligned, private higher school. In 2011, it marks its 20th anniversary. IBS teaches students at Bachelor's, Master's and Doctor's degrees in the following fields of study: Administration and Management, Economics, Tourism. The academic degree of Doctor is in "Social, economic and legal sciences" in the field of Economics and management of sectors \commerce, industry, agriculture, tourism). IBS is accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of Republic of Bulgaria. In 2004, International Business School introduced a System of quality assurance which is consistent with modern standards EN ISO 9001: 2008. IBS utilizes European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), thus contributing to the achievement of the aims of European Higher Education Area (EHEA): high quality and transparency of educational process and more opportunities for mobility of students. Graduates are awarded in addition to their higher education diplomas, European diploma supplements describing the level, contents and statute of their education. Along the traditional academic educational forms - full time and part time study - IBS offers distance learning programmes as a modern educational format which the teaching and learning process is flexible, without compulsory permanent attendance at lecture periods. Students are taught in an environment of greater autonomy from the tutor. Thus, education is student-centred and not instructor-centred. This means that you are facilitated and supported and at the same time you are more responsible for your own education. International Business School (IBS) is an independent, politically unrelated, private higher school in Republic of Bulgaria. It was established in 1991 as the first private higher college with international affiliation in Bulgaria - the Bulgarian-Danish College of Business, Export and Marketing. On 25 July 2002, with an act of the 39th National Assembly of Republic of Bulgaria, it was transformed into a specialised higher school of learning - International Business School. It was accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency for degree programmes at Bachelor's, Master's and Doctor's level. During the 20 years that followed, our development was dynamic and rising. We build the School with innovative and entrepreneurial spirit in close cooperation with the world of business.
