Islamic Education Institute of Texas

Twenty five years ago, the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) established the Islamic Education Institute of Texas (IEIT) as a unique fulltime Islamic school system to serve the children of the Muslim community in the greater Houston area. Our mission is to ensure that every child achieves his/her maximum educational potential through an enriched academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities program. In addition, we are focused on preparing todays students for tomorrows challenges through the establishment of high Islamic values and moral standards. Today, there are six fully accredited schools within the IEIT system. Initially two schools were opened in 1992 the Darul Arqam North School and the Darul Arqam Southeast School. The following year, in 1993, the Darul Arqam Southwest School was opened. ILM Academy was opened in 2006 followed by Everest Academy in 2007. The sixth school within the IEIT system, Houston Peace Academy (HPA), opened in 2010.
