We offer specialist investment management services and strongly believe in offering a personalised service which combines traditional values with a sophisticated investment management system. Since formation in 1991 and listing on AIM in 2005, we have grown steadily and significantly both in terms of funds under management (FUM) and also in terms of size with offices in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Tunbridge Wells, Taunton, Hale and Hampshire. In July 2011, we reorganised the Group to create separate fund management and private wealth management businesses, respectively named Brooks Macdonald Funds and Brooks Macdonald Asset Management. The five sub-funds of the Brooks Macdonald OEIC are: IFSL Brooks Macdonald Balanced Fund IFSL Brooks Macdonald Defensive Income Fund IFSL Brooks Macdonald Cautious Growth Fund IFSL Brooks Macdonald Defensive Capital Fund IFSL Brooks Macdonald Strategic Growth Fund The IFSL Brooks Macdonald Defensive Capital Fund is managed by Jonathan Gumpel and Robin Eggar from our London office. This fund aims to achieve consistent long-term capital growth through a portfolio of defined return assets, such as preference shares, loan notes, convertibles, structured notes and other defined return investments including collective investment schemes and transferable securities which do not require market growth to provide a positive capital return and are supported by significant underlying asset cover. The other four funds are managed as "funds of funds" by Jonathan Webster-Smith from our London office. These funds benefit from access to the Group's structured approach to asset allocation across a number of models, which vary according to the risk profile of each model. Brooks Macdonald Funds follows an appropriate strategy and asset allocation in accordance with these models for the four sub-funds, thereby giving investors access to a similar investment approach to that available to existing Brooks Macdonald clients.
