Imperial Office Furniture has developed an enviable reputation in the Office Furniture Industry since its inception in 1993. The company expanded year by year at a steady rate building up a good database and dealer network. During this period the company achieved ISO9001 status and have kept this prestigious award to date. In early 2000 the company further improved its operational techniques with major investment in new technology, equipment, transport and production systems. In 2002 the company went through its largest ever re-structuring programme and achieved a gross turnover of £2 million with a total of 30 employees. The company continued to expand, enabling us to focus on quality, superior service and strive for customer satisfaction. Having had all the systems in place and the right product ranges to market and sell, by the end of 2004 we reached a turnover in excess of £4.5 million with a team of 80 employees. Turnover levelled out at £4.7 million from 2004 to 2006, however after being awarded F.I.R.A certification relating to strength and stability (BSEN 527-2:2002/3:2003) and with further investment in property, machinery and the launch of our Effex beam system turnover rapidly increased to £5.9 million in 2007. Moving forward into 2008 which turned out to be difficult times for the office furniture industry and dare we say the word recession. We at Imperial are pleased with the outcome, as once again we expanded, reaching a turnover of £6.3 million. After the introduction of our Reunion boardroom and conference range and further structural developments, moving into 2009 we launched iBench, the latest design in bench systems and a complimentary, innovative storage range, which has seen Imperials company profile develop further. Currently with a total of 110 employees and further investments in property, an estimated turnover of £8 million is on the horizon for 2010.
