Always believing in great service and strong relationships but most of all, we believe that insurance is about protecting people. Like most companies, Petley-Hare started out small. In 1922, James Bickle founded the South Oshawa Insurance and Real Estate Company. In 1963, Jim Hare bought the firm, and Petley-Hare was born. Jim's son David took over the reins in 1976, and grew the company to a trusted brokerage that works with clients throughout Durham Region and continues to provide the excellent service James Bickle was known for almost 100 years ago.
