Founded in 1984, InterCon Construction, Inc. has grown into a multi-faceted utility construction firm able to meet the challenges of an ever-changing industry. Located in Madison, WI InterCon is a safety first utility construction company, providing top-tier customer service and quality to Midwest Gas, Electric and Telecom companies. The Company has a team of over 450 operators, laborers, welders and overhead and underground electrical personnel during the peak construction months of April to December. InterCon's adherence to a progressive management style fosters a partnership building approach with its customers. InterCon focuses on cultivating mutually respectful relationships to achieve success for its customers, as well as its dedicated team of over 20 managers and 15 administrative staff. For over two decades, InterCon has gained invaluable experience in all facets of underground work from gas and electric distribution and transmission to communications to product delivery to horizontal directional drilling to overhead electric, as well as many highly-specialized projects that lie within these broader areas of service.
