International Pizza Hut Franchise Holders Association

Dan and Frank Carney and John Bender opened the doors of the first Pizza Hut restaurant on May 31, 1958. In less than a year, they opened five more Pizza Hut restaurants in Wichita. In 1959, they began franchising. 1968 was the birth of The Association. Pizza Hut and Franchisee's joined together to solidify their national image and promote product loyalty through advertising and marketing programs. Based in Wichita, KS, IPHFHA serves as an advisor and sounding board representing the franchisees viewpoint to Pizza Hut International on System issues and advertising. The Board also began to service the franchise community by administering different franchisee services, such as insurance benefits and the Mid-Year Meeting.
