ICA offers a full day kindergarten with a classical approach to learning. We use songs, chants, and Bible memorization to help stimulate a positive learning environment. By incorporating a variety of teaching strategies, the classical program provides age-appropriate activities while laying a sturdy foundation for future learning. The curriculum is designed to challenge and encourage each child to become an active learner through large and small group instruction. We use a carefully planned course of academic study that includes the following curricula: Abeka Language and Reading Program Saxon Math for 1st Grade Song School Latin Abeka Writing Manuscript At ICA we teach from the Bible, giving the kindergarten student a complete view of Biblical events beginning with creation and going though the start of the early church. We spend time each day memorizing scripture, singing, reading the Bible, acting out the Bible stories, and learning what the Bible tells us about love, faith, behavior and responsibility.
