The Ivo Cutelarias, Lda is a family company, born in 1954 for Sr. João Ivo and his wife Dª Maria das Dores in Santa Catarina already coveted by the world of cutlery at the time, decided to create a small "workshop" with three employees. He began his activity with the production of pocket knives. In the years 70`s, Ivo brand has become a national benchmark in the business of pocket knives, a period that marks the entrance of the children of two partners - the company founders. The vision shared by the two business, exceeded the national market, which gradually guided the helm of the organization for the international market. The continuous modernization of the plant along with the needs that new markets would dictate, in the 80's led to an amplification of facilities at the same time it began and multiplied the presence in major international events to expose to the world of our products. Today the company Ivo Cutelarias, is a company dedicated to the production and marketing of household cutlery and professional for over 55 years. One of the largest and most prestigious companies both nationally and internationally to operate the business, devoting more than 90% of its annual production for export to over 54 countries. Recently the company has been honored internationally for the quality and design of some models of their knives as the "Prémio Core Design" awarded in Sweden and "Premio de Diseño" in Cuba. It has three separate production units, the main dedicated to the manufacture of conventional cutlery, a second specialized in the manufacture of razors and knives "pocket-knives" and a third unit specifically dedicated to the manufacture of forged blades, a blade type characterized by quality requirements the most demanding consumer.
