Janet's Dance Studio

The instructors at Janet's Dance Studio are committed to a strong technique-based program that is both educational and fun. Our students learn to appreciate the art of dance, as well as form new friendships and learn the value of teamwork. We believe our program teaches much more than dance technique alone. Discipline is a critical part of any learning environment, and with positive reinforcement we strive to instill respect, music appreciation, recognition of others' efforts, the building of strength and stamina and cooperation. At Janet's Dance Studio, instructors organize their classes according to guidelines that are part of a comprehensive graded curriculum. This is a program unique to Janet's Dance Studio. Our method insures that your child is working at a level that matches their ability and will challenge them, but not be so advanced that it will frustrate them. We take our work and our art seriously, attending workshops on a regular basis to continue our education, so that we may offer to our students the latest warm-ups, progressions and routines. Our classes focus on a broad range of French terminologies, anatomical awareness in body placement and musical acuity in performance. Classes are arranged according to age, with instruction based on age appropriate skills. Our instructors teach tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling and hip-hop.
