After being extracted from the ground, oil and gas are transported and sold to power companies, gas companies and oil refineries, where they will be used in everyday life. E&P is the very source of the flow of energy. Since our foundation in 1955, JAPEX has discovered numerous oil and gas fields, and continues to be a leading company in Japanese E&P industry. Our main fields of operation are in Hokkaido, Akita, Yamagata and Niigata. We supply our domestic resources to the local community, fulfilling our mission of providing a stable supply of energy.
