JJ McGuire was established in 1987 by John McGuire and Frank Difelice followed by Jim Green in 1989. The dedication and commitment to providing clients with high-quality work have seen JJ McGuire grow at rapid rate. We are very proud to acknowledge that several of our employees that began with JJ McGuire in 1987 are still with the company today. The honesty, integrity, and quality instilled in our employees are some of the keys to our success. This legacy of excellence drives JJ McGuire and, as a result, we have become one of the largest general contractors in Durham Region today. Today, our senior management team is led by Jeff Robinson (President), Mitch Newbold (Vice President of Operations), Andy Wojtis (Vice President/Senior Superintendent) and Leo Urrasio (Vice President of Finance). We are honored and proud to include among our many clients, the likes of General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Dupont, Durham College, Trent University, LCBO, the City of Oshawa, City of Peterborough, Toronto Transit Commission just to name a few. JJ McGuire is a very active member of the community, working together with groups such as Big Brothers Big Sisters South West Durham & Northumberland, the Children's Aid Society, Feed the Need of Durham, Lakeridge Health, Parkwood Estates, 100 Men of Oshawa, 100 Men of Port Perry, Durham College, various universities and many others organizations. We helped to establish "Companies Who Care", a group of Durham Region contractors and others who are dedicated to raising funds for local charities.
