Alvarez, Inc. is spearheaded by Alfonso Moreno, Director of Security and Compliance, who served 23 year tenure as a U.S. federal agent. Moreno retired in 2008 from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) where he served as Patrol Agent in Charge of the Intelligence Division for the Laredo Sector Border Patrol since 1992 before serving as a Special Agent and Border Patrol Agent. Moreno is a Subject Matter Expert in Physical Security, Personnel Security, Border Security (Homeland Security), Fraudulent Documents, and organized crime along the US/Mexico Border. Moreno has provided training on intelligence and security to the Argentinean National Police in Buenos Aires Argentina, Ecuadorian National Police in Quito Ecuador, Panamanian National Police in Panama City Panama, Mexican Federal Preventive Police at their National Academy in San Luis Potosi Mexico and Transportacion Ferroviaria Mexicana (TFM, now Kansas City Southern de Mexcio) railroad security personnel. He has also briefed the Mexican Attorney General Jorge Madrazo, United States Attorney General Janet Reno, U.S. Border Czar Alan Bersin, U.S. Drug Czar General Barry McCaffrey, numerous congressional delegations, and has been a speaker/presenter at countless Law Enforcement conferences and symposiums throughout the United States.
