The name John F Hunt was first established in the 1930's as a Blacksmiths under the name Joseph Hunt & Sons of Diss Street, Hackney. The Company continued to develop and trade quite successfully as Fabricators & Engineers until the early 1980's when recession took its toll. John F Hunt Demolition was formed by John Hall in 1982 primarily concentrating on Demolition & Industrial Dismantling, growing rapidly to become one of the leading demolition contractors in the UK today. Since the late 1980's John F Hunt Demolition expanded operations to encompass many related activities such as Controlled Explosive Demolition, Robotic Demolition, Temporary Works, Civil Engineering and Pre Construction Advice, with an additional two divisions focusing on Asbestos Removal and Concrete Cutting. The decontamination of land and water is carried out by John F Hunt Remediation, returning brownfield and industrial usage sites back into profitable regeneration assets, whilst Ace Consultants provide services covering all aspects of Health and Safety within the work place, with three UKAS accredited laboratories for analysis and testing. Four specialist hire companies supply equipment for both hire and sale to the Construction Industry Nationwide, offering Power Generation, Heavy Plant, Contractor's Tools and Lifting Gear.
