Here at Josh Early, we pride ourselves on making the most delicious candy you've ever tasted by staying true to the recipes and candy-making process that have been passed down through our family for five generations. We figured it is time to let you in on some of our secrets, and through this blog we'll share insights into our process, our recipes, and our history. We'll share family stories from the days when Josh Early III first sold candy out of his Reading, PA grocery store in 1904, and how his son, Josh Early IV, developed his own unique candy recipes back in the 1930's. We'll explore Josh Early V's move to Allentown, PA in 1961 where he pioneered the fundamental business principles we still adhere to today. And this blog won't just be a history lesson…we'll give you behind-the-scenes access to our unique chocolate-making processes. Ever wonder how we create the perfect butter cream? Curious about how to temper chocolate? Want to know the perfect foods to pair with your favorite chocolate? We'll explore it all.
